About Me
"Iwas 12 years old when the events in 1982 began"
As a young boy I was gripped with the developments and used to wait eagerly for the news each day and would watch this unfold on television. These events gave and developed my interest in the military, resulting in me joining the Army Cadet Force and then leading on to joining the Army at 16 as a Junior Leader (Royal Engineers). However, my military career was cut short due to a knee injusry sustained on exercise and unknowingly this led me to find photography. Whilst in hospital having knee surgery I was given a photography magazine, my passion for this art was born.
Fast forward to 2019.............my belief is that the Falklands is often a forgotten war and with so many memorials mainly on the Islands, there is no one source of reference to view them - so why not create a book of these?
This idea became a reality, creating Falklands +40 In Remembrance took nearly 3 years with the first edition of the book being released in time for the 40th Anniversary, despite the hurdles that were faced due to Covid 19.
I’m now planning and working on Falklands +50 In Remembrance that will be published to commemorate the 50th anniversary in 2032.
